Can I get the desktop as my default?

You know how when you go to save a file, it seems usually that the OS defaults to the Documents folder? I and end up changing that to desktop a LOT.

Anyways just to get the desktop for a default? thanks!

If you do a “save as” and choose the desktop, it will default automatically after awhile. In second party applications and media players, you usually can choose to copy to the desktop in preferences.

Not sure, but you can [almost] always hit command-D to quickly navigate the save/open panel to your Desktop.

Yes, I have been doing the command D.

Now I'm tired of that, and want a permanent fix. Any idea out there?
