In Jaguar quicktime setting preference, do I make Default

Quicktime Music Synthesizer ?

I was listening to some midi tracks a moment ago, most of them seemed ok, but it wasn't until I were listening to a piano rendition of Rhapsody in Blue, that the track didn't quite sound right.
