I reinstalled My MAC OsX software because i had no sound. I tried to see if that would help. However, i had saved my network settings in a previous system folder. Now My MAC panther is no longer running and replaced with a older version of mac 10.2.4. I had the MAC OSX panther. Can i restore what i had before. My desktop, my MAC OSX panther and all my settings. How do i do that. I did not erase anything and my files and applications are all there, but dont work because I am running an older version of mac OSX.
Please help.
I dont have the diskette for MAC panther VErsion because i bought the powerbook used with it already installed. I am sure its still somewher in my computer.

There's no way to just move a few files around and turn a 10.2 system into a 10.3 system.

You're going to need to re-install Panther.

The $149 lesson you should take from this is - if you buy a laptop used, demand they provide the original CD's. If they don't have them, demand they drop their price by $149 or sell it to someone else.
