I just switched ... after playing with my gf ibook ... my thinkpad seems so boring ... I am waiting for my 15" powerbook which should arrive in 1-2 weeks ... i know with mac installation is usually just drag and drop but i know some need the cd for installation ... my gf has photoshop cs and microsoft word on her ibook but she doesn't have the cd ... it came preloaded on her ibook from her school ... my question is can photoshop cs and microsoft word be drag from her ibook and drop to my powerbook? or is there anyway i can get the progrom from her ibook to my powerbook? thanks

in general i think that should work, but you should know, obviously this is illegal since you presumably don't have a license to run this software. also, while you are correct in saying most installations on the Mac are drag-n-drop that doesn't mean there is no copy protection. i don't know about PS but certainly Word will be looking for a serial number and it will check on any local network to make sure that any machines it can see are not using Word with the same serial code. if you happy to deal with these issues then it should work as well as can be expected.
