The day after installing the Update, suddenly I could not connect to the internet, and Mail.app took almost 4 minutes to open!?

After calling Apple, my ISP and Linksys, I disconnected the router and plugged the modem into my G5, and voila! connection. I tried connecting the Linksys router again, but it simply would not make a connection, even though all the lights were on, and the Netweok preferences showed that I was connected.

I called Linksys back, and was told outright that they just received a "paper" telling the support people not to support OS X!! There was no way the tech person would help me!!
What the H*ll is this? Have anything to do with the Update? Problems between Apple and Linksys?

I highly doubt that your problem has anything to do with the Linksys at all.

Could you launch the Console application which is found in /Applications/Utilities, then try launching Mail or connecting to the Internet, and seeing if anything appears in the console?

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
