Well hello,

I've got an iBook now and I've succeeded in getting it online via Airport Extreme. All is well except for when I try to print wirelessly to one or both of the networked printers here - they're both connected to Windows machines. When I go to the printer wizard and choose Windows Printing, I can navigate to the printer. But along the way I am asked for a username and password - I don't know what those are supposed to be, but when I just press Return it seems to accept it.

Anyway.

When I try to print from within TextEdit, though, it tries but fails. I get an error saying something like "NT_ACCESS_DENIED" and then after a while it says "Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds" or something to that extent.

So how do I get this to work? :/ I'm running Panther 10.3.7.

Thanks!

The username and password is for the windows account. An administrator.

Yes, I've tried that and it printed!

Only you can imagine my excitement when it printed out something like this:

%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %RBINumCopies: 1 %%Pagesatend) %APL_DSC_Encoding: UTF8 %% Title: (U

followed by blank pages.

what's Gimp-Print?

Edit: Problem solved. Thanks anyway!
