i open terminal and type in sudo sh /etc/daily or sudo periodic daily and press enter ... but then it ask for a password ... i try typing the admin password but it won't let me type ... when i type nothing shows up ... if i just press enter then it says invalid password ... what is wrong? i try it on my new powerbook and my gf ibook and both the same ... how do i type the password in?

nevermind ... got it ... when i type the password it actually type but it just didn't show on the screen so i though is not typing

That's a standard security feature. The idea is that someone looking over your shoulder can't easily figure out how many characters your password is.
