Does anyone know where the "new finder window" prefs are stored, or at least how to make all new windows inherit some other windows?

I once seem to remember a app that would help you with this, I am wanting to turn off brushed metal on all windows from now on.

Not sure why. The brushed metal looks much better than alcatraz aqua. Try tinkertool. Look at versiontracker.com for brushed metal or aqua too.
