I've got an old Powermac 7200 that I've rescued from the tip. I went from a Mac Plus to Windows machines for years so I've missed out on learning what is involved in maintaining a OS8/9 machine. This one has 9.1 on it (and boy is it slow!). As I don't have the install CD, I'm going to try and clean it up the harder way.

Do OS 9 computers require defragging? I've got so used to OS X not needing it. Any tips on speeding up an aging powermac will be very much appreciated

The easier way would be to move/copy all the files to another Mac or Hard Disk and then erase the PowerMac 7200 hard disk to finally, copy all the files again on it, no pain and you get a 100% optimized hard disk is such a nice computer
