Hey All

I was wondering if 10.3.7 will Boot off an External USB 2.0 Drive. Fry's is having a sale on an External USB 2.0 2.5" 100mb, 5400rpm Drive.

But if it doesn't Boot I'll pass.

Thanks!!!

Brad

All new Macs can boot off USB drives. I believe they must be newer than the slot-loading iMacs, but I'm not totally sure. And I don't know if your Pismo can boot from USB drives.

My iBook G4/1GHz does not boot from a USB 2.0 drive. It does not see the drive at startup as it would if it were Firewire.

It will be a little tough booting OS X off any 100mb drive regardless of interface. :-)
