I will soon be getting a new G5. I currently do a lot of Photoshop work on my PC and it dawned on me yesterday that the how the photographs look on my PC monitor may not be the same on the Mac. Has anyone made this move and if so, was there any visual difference?

I'm pretty sure the only difference will be that the images are a bit brighter on the Mac because the gamma is at 2.8 as opposed to 2.0 on Windows.

if you use Photoshop's calibration tools on both systems you should get very similar results.

I second that opinion,
Consistent color management is the key to avoid color inconsistencies...

The default gamma on Mac OS X is 1.8 and on Windows it is 2.2.
