I accidentally deleted the Roman keyboard layout on my iBook. (Don't ask...) Anyway, that has rendered my iBook's keyboard completely useless. I tried to copy the Roman keyboard layout file from another computer to the iBook. But the iBook wants me to authenticate in order to copy any files into its "Keyboard Layouts" folder, and I can't authenticate without a working keyboard, wherein lies the catch 22. Any suggestions?

Shortly after posting, I figured out a simple solution. From the edit menu, I opened the "Special Characters..." window, and entered my password by dragging each letter individually into the password box.
