So by Apple's definition when does the first half of 2005 end? Are we talking FY or calenday year or just any date around mid-year that suits SJ?
WWDC 2004 seems like a VERY long time ago and I am getting fed up with hearing by the end of the first half of 2005. Come on Apple, gives us an official release date to look forward to.
And please, no 'they'll release it when it's ready' comments. We all know that even when it's released there will still be issues that need dealing with because some problems only appear when hundreds of thousands of early adopters start 'beta testing' the first release. And that is fine with me--it is what I'd expect, but an official date would help with forward planning and budgeting.

Go for a walk outside. You'll feel better for it, really.

First half of 2005 = June. Probably the latter half.

You are right--got out of bed on the wrong side this morning AND it is a really nice day here too (14°C and spring-like).

So now we know what package it is going to ship in!
Ship date doesn't seem so important when I know it's in a black box with a big platinum X!
The walk didn't help--I ended up shovelling rabbit **** for 40 minutes. Don't ask.

I'm guessing since SJ said first half of 05, that translates into June. He could pull a Bill gates and release it to manufactoring in June, there by technically keeping his word but we wouldn't see the product for another month or so

All in all, I'm looking forward to it, but it is only an OS update (heresey ?) so I can wait.

Mike
