hey guys

i'm looking for a way to backup my entire System Drive to a HFS+ partition (on an external HDD)
so if anything goes wrong
i can boot from that partition


and how to preserve the user permission and stuff?

and how to do it with Disk Utility?

i tried that

it won't let me run it because i need to have a secondary local hard disk install
