I used to know how to do this, but for the love of god I can't remember how. (I need the Google Desktop Search for OSX!) <GRIN>
How can I hide an account on the login screen?
I have one account which is used by someone who will not be around for a while. I don't want to delete the account, but I'd like to remove it from the list.
I *think* the technique involved using the NetInfo Manager tool, but I can't be certain.
Any help or "reminders" would be appreciated.

Figured it out!
Remove the "RealName" property under "Users" in NetInfo manager.
When you want the name to re-appear just put back the "RealName" property.

another way used to be to use a sub 100 UID i believe, but that might no longer work in current OSX versions.

If you also change all the files the person owns, and you do it from another administrator account, it should work just fine.
