I went to burn a disc of pictures today, but when I inserted a blank cd, it never opened in the finder. Never had that happen before. I played around a bit, tried about 20 cd's, hoping maybe I had just got a bad batch, but nothing shows up. I tried to burn a disc with Toast, and that seemed to work, but now that disc I burned doesn't mount either. i tried discs that I had burned previously, that have always worked, and they don't mount. The only thing that happens is sometimes I'll get a message that says "This disc contains no volumes readable by OSX" or words to that affect. Sunday night I had burned a couple of discs, no problems then. This is a new one on me. Anyone have any suggestions? It's a G3 iBook 900 running 10.3.8 with a combo drive.

Never mind. I just did a fresh install of 10.3.8, and that did the trick. I still have no idea what the problem was, but I did notice after I posted that nothing was actually mounting, not even .dmg. But when I downloaded the installer, it opened, even though it didn't show up on the desktop and it worked, so all is well.
