currently installing OSX on my Athlon 2800+

took about 1-2 mins to boot from the OS X install CD


i clicked through and actually started the install at 6:25pm


currently says "about 24 min remaining"


i opted for basically none of the extras during the install to try to speed things up

might as well list my full system specs so people know what we're dealing with here:


AMD Athlon 2800+
512 MB DDR Ram
128mb ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
10 GB Allocated to Cherry OS
LG DVD Rom Drive
Sony CD-RW

im interested to see if the drives are recognized

If you really want to discuss this with people, take it to the lounge. Other than the fact that you are installing and running OS X, this is really a PC specific discussion--not Mac OS. It would be like asking Virtual PC questions in the Unix forum just because you installed Linux.
