Closing many preview windows at once

Am I right that if you have 40 preview windows up, you have to close them one at a time?

hold down option then hit command-w

What he said. Or option+click close button.
If you have some you want to keep open, minimize them first.

Well I did command , option, W, and that does not work! It's never worked for preview, I don't get it.

But command , option, click close button works, don't like it as much.
