When I insert an orinoco 802.11b wifi pc-card into my powerbooks pccard slot a small icon appears in the top right toolbar. When I click on the icon I get informed what type of card it is and an option to power off the card. Is this a feature of Macos X or do I have some drivers installed ? Try sticking any pccard into your powerbooks pccard slot, does a little icon appear in the toolbar ?Thanks in advance.

Part of OS X. It appears on any Mac that you place a PC card into.
