i may well be an idiot for not being able to figure this out but, since we've ascertained that i'm a bit on the slow side and we're all happy about that, i have a question for ya'll...

i have several yahoo accounts and i would love to not have to type in the user names and passwords each time i want to access them. however, i can't work out how to use keychain to help me do this, and i've been hunting around verious semi-helpful websites for the past hour and still can't figure out this simple issue. keychain is already doing its thing automatically for many sites (incl macnn) so that's all good, but it has nothing on my yahoo accounts. i've tried putting the info into keychain manually, but still nothing happens.

i've checked my safari prefs and they seem all good - autofill is turned on, but while i have other website access data in there, again there is nothing for yahoo and i can't see how to add it there either (i'm assuming that i really want to use keychain as it'll be more secure, which is why i'm posting here instead of in the apps forum). i've tried ticking the little 'remember my id on this computer' box but it does nothing as far as i can tell...

i hope this is enough info to get a bit of advice from you guys. i'm running os 10.3.8, safari 1.2.4, my star sign is virgo, and my blood pressure is rising.

cheers in advance,

sminch

Yahoo has autocomplete=off set on their password fields, that means they don't allow Safari to save the password in the keychain.

dammit!

is there any way to override their cunning autocomplete killer? is there a box i can tick which says "autocomplete=on because it's my computer and i bloody well said so"?

i guess we're rapidly drifting into apps forum territory... apologies!
