Um... both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are available on the Mac. They have quite a large Mac userbase, to seriously understate things.

If you want a free alternative to Photoshop, there's the GIMP. However, it's not nearly as good or as easy to use.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Uhh... if you own PS Elements 2 or 3 just phone up Adobe and tell em you want a serial number for OS X. Actually though the disk probably has the Mac version on it. I'd sooner even use version 1 under classic than I would use the GIMP.

graphic converter is pretty cheap and very flexible, although it has a few annoying quirks that I don't know how to change..
