Well the rebate only last until May 31st so Tiger has to be release well before that.
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?

Plus, if you sign of for that Amazon VISA card, it is another $30 off, so you can get Tiger for $65. Awesome deal.

Or just get the student version for $69 from Apple with no rebates

LIke I have said before, if you are a student at a University, you may check their computing center to see if the said University has paid for a site license. My university has done this. I am able to get OS X for free (well, this is another reason why our tuition is so damned high), and legal. However, if you want the CDs, you have to pay $15.00. This doesn't include the box, the book. But you do get the developers tools too!

I just read that Amazon is no longer offering pre-orders. Sold out? Shades of Panther?

The rebate form lists the Tiger Family Pack with a rebate of $50. Isn't the family pack usually $199 or so, making it $149 after rebate, and a much better deal than buying 2 singles ($189 after rebate)? (I'm a switcher, so this is my first major upgrade.)

Think Amazon will offer a pre-order of Tiger Family pack?

Thanks for the link, it didn't show up in my amazon search.

Listed as not available, but maybe it will be soon.
