Delete "Previous Systems"?

When I navigate to my hard drive, I see a 'previous systems' folder -- is it safe to delete it (it requires my admin password to do so)? I don't recall doing an archive install and my system is running fine. It takes up just over a gig of space. I assume it's fine, but I just want to make sure.

Yup. Somehow, somewhere you reinstalled the OS and the old one was renamed.
