Just curious. I love those things. I remember finding several in my old Palm III. And the recent discovery of the video in the older Quadra got me wondering again.

Thanks and have a great day,

Chris

I don't believe there are any in newer OSes because Apple and Microsoft alike do not like their programmers wasting their time with this stuff. I remember reading about this when Microsoft was told to release some of its source code and lots of pointless crap was found . . . well its all crap but you know what I mean.

Mail-->Show Package Contents-->Contents-->Resources-->senders.tiff. Open it up in Preview and make sure the drawer is open

Cool. Sometimes I like being wrong. Well I still stand behind what I said earlier, but I guess it applies more to Microsoft than Apple.

Actually, I remember it being there from the 10.1 days, or even 10.2. I believe that it's just pics of the developers that worked on Mail.

Still there in Tiger mail.

I guess since it's not executable code that wastes much resources Apple let it go. Stuff like ROM-code and the quicktime Iguana-boot were the stuff that they got rid of.

Well, "rm -rf /" has a great easter egg ... (no, seriously, don't do that. If you want to be a prankster, do a 'rm -rf /bin/laden' or rm -rf /windows).

And now to bring you our regularly scheduled easter eggs:

1. Select “Go to Folder” from the Go menu in the Finder and enter the following path:

/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/lib/python2.3/test/

Now double-click on the audiotest.au file.

2. I know Delicious Library is an app and not part of Panther but I thought this was too good not to share. It also says "I'm your father" when you scan in any Star Wars merchandise.

Either that or let everyone in on the game with 'chmod a+x /bin/laden'
