warning be very caucus of Virev 7.5 by McAfee I had some real problems with it

Original Post
I'm missing something but I have no idea what it could be, the other day I was setting up my Fax number in preferences and when I clicked on where to save it everything froze up on me I could not force quite so I had to resort to drastic measures by turning off the power supply, thats when things started to get sticky, my mac would not let me log in all I got was the spinning ball of death "SBOD" before all this happened we were experiencing internet trouble so we thought it may be ether a bad modem or comcast and it turned out that comcast was having some difficulties they told us that everything was fine and it is for every computer in the house except for mine I went through every check I could think of I repaired permissions, ran a complete tool check including scanning the entire disk using my apple care software by booting up from the disk and everything passed, finally I disconnected the ethernet and tried starting up using my wireless connection and was able to log in, now I don't even get the SBOD every time I try to log in using a cable connection everything hangs up just before the log in screen I can still use my wireless connection but I'm dead when it comes to the cable.

I finally found the time to send everyone some feedback on a recent problem I was having, I won’t boor you with the details you can read them in my first post, to make a long story short I finally had to resort to drastic measures and get out my install disks 1 & 2 this is what I was dreading from the very beginning I first tried tech support and went through some things like fixing the ram or something like that can’t remember The guy went through so many things with me and I was already tired from staying up late trying to figure out what was wrong, Not to mention a bad head ace and I had been surviving on coffee and tobacco up to this point, so I reinstalled Mac OSX and did all the updates and then went to my trusty backup to get my mail, address book, and files back a funny thing happened after I reinstalled this one software that I got off the Apple site from my .Mac account after installation I restarted and It started to happen all over again THE FREEZING the software I’m talking about is called VIREX 7.5 don’t get it ! after shutting down and going off line so I could log in I did a search of VIREX on my system and dumped every thing that was connected to it, problem solved anyway the lesson for me was always restart after a download even if the computer doesn't ask especially when you are doing a lot of installations

Huh? Maybe try posting a more coherent version of this post in the software area...
