If I get Tiger through Up-To-Date program, will it be a full install (like retail full version of Tiger)? Or will it require Panther to be installed first? If second, then probably it can't be used for Erase and Install, right?

Thanks.

I'm usre it'll be just like all the other Up-To-Date programs, and only be an updater, rather than the full install.

Wasn't there just some minor file that had to be changed so you could then do a full install?

It's an update DVD (or CD, depending on what you get), but you can definitely do Erase and Install.

It just checks to see that a Mac OS X installation is present first.

And yes, the upgrade is identical to a full install, except that the upgrade has in the past had a file that needed to removed to essentially "convert" it to a full install. If you're interested, I'm sure you'll be able to find it.
