I am deep into transferring all my files from my 15" Ti to my new 17".

I did not use the 'assistant' because I wanted to have a fresh start.

So, does anyone know how I can move my keychain info to my new PB? I set up a few different ones, and while I can reset that same info on my new PB no problem (i'll just copy the info back in), I do have one problem.

I have a diskimage/.dmg that I transferred, and I locked it with a keychain. But it won't take any password. I tried transfering my Keychain folders from teh Library, but they don't show the info either.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If you have .Mac, you can use Backup to make copies of your keychain, then reimport them on your new Mac.

i think i figured it out after doing some searching. turns out you can take your entire keychain folder from your library, move it over to your new computer's user library file, then in the new computer, go to keychain access, and then under 'edit' you can 'add keychain' and navigate to the folder and choose the keychain.

thanks for replying!

You'll find that most everything on the Mac just plain works well.

Use the migration assistant, it'll save you trouble and work.
