I bought my powerbook 3 days before Tiger was released (emergency, the old one broke).

However the fan was broken so I returned it yesterday (April 16th) and the Apple Store swapped it for a new one.

My new warranty date is April 16th 2006.. its on the receipt. Do I qualify for the up-to-date program?

I thought I read that April 12th or later qualifies. I bought mine on the 9th.

I found this on the Apple site:

"If you purchased a new Mac on or after April 12 that didn’t include Tiger, you can upgrade for just the cost of the media. Learn more."

I bought mine on the 9th.

Did they give you a new computer or fan? If it's the computer, you should be able to upgrade to Tiger at the up to date fee. If it was the fan, then no. Of course, there are the moral issues in bypassing this, but that's already stated in other threads and I won't deal with that.

I have to order the upgrade in the UK. Is there a similar web page for UK orders? I can't seem to find it. Even when I search for Tiger in the US store, there's no option to purchase the "up-to-date" version.
