I got home from my sister's wedding festivities and there were all kinds of software updates. I told Software Update to install them all, and it had downladed the iPhoto, iDVD, and iMovie updates but stalled during 10.3.9 and didn't finish. I was able to finish the OS X update today, but can't redownload the other updates.

I notice that iPhoto seems slower on launch and want to rerun its update even though it is listed as 5.0.2. I tried deleting it from /Library/Receipts but SU doesn't see it again. What do I need to do?

The OS updates are always the last to be installed. Therefore, the remainder of your updates should have installed and optimized properly.

It didn't download though. From what I have seen, SU downloads everything, then does the install. Or is it actually installing them in the background?

you can manually d/l the iphoto (or other update) from apple's software download page (or grab the link from version tracker) and reinstall it if you are not sure it "took" the first time.
