By accident I deleted my fax machine from the list of printers. Now I cannot choose the internal modem to fax anything. Hitting "Add" does not bring up internal modem.

Do you know how I can get it back?

Thanks

Sorry SWG... you see for the next month it's Tiger only baby... now if you asked, in Tiger how you could get your fax back... well I mean in ten days... currently you'd have to ask if you'd be able to get your fax back under Tiger... you know...

Mr. Super Chicken,

I don't think he was asking about tigers. But if you want, we can start a thread in the "Lounge" about tigers and other experiences at the zoo! That would be very fun.

So you're saying that with there being 10 days til Tiger, you won't try and support him now with a Panther issue? Good grief, this isn't Apple we're asking.

Yeah. Apple would have given an answer.

Boy, aren't you people helpful?!

SWG, all you need to do is go to the Print dialog in any application and click the "Fax" button. If the fax printer doesn't exist already, it'll be automatically created.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Freaking morons...
the joke is that the OS X forum right now is basically all about Tiger, and nobody will want to help anyone with Panther, just look at the Tiger support threads.
It's pretty sad when you have to explain your joke... or when people actually think you're serious...

Well, way to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution by derailing this Panther support thread with the first freaking reply to it.

SWG, what happens when you click the Fax button from the Print dialog in TextEdit? If it does not create the printer, does it give an error box? If so, what's the error? If not, what does it do?

I finally got it working. I think it wasn't working before because there was a bluetooth fax option in there. I deleted it also and then it forces a new modem one to appear.

Anyway, thanks to the two of you that tried to help.

Then perhaps this is an indication of the quality of your humour.
