Hi,
I'm a new mac user and I'd like to know how to view the hardware in my mac through the OS. I'm familiar with this simple process in a PC but I can't seem to find it in my G5. For example, how do I see the type of video card I have without having to physically open my mac and look at it?
thanks for your help!

Yep, that will launch "System Profiler" found in the following location:
Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > System Profiler

The System Profiler is better than any of the MS utils in XP. For example it shows exactly what sort of DIMM's I have in which slots, I had to dig out a 3rd party app to do that on the XP at work.

I didn't know there WAS anything like System Profiler for Windows (I've always been mystified by this).

There is that control for all the Hardware drivers, But that doesn't give you anything like the Info of the Apple app.
