Will I be able to bring in from Panther backup the file ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data and drop it into Panther?

I had to do a restore in Panther after I got my PB back after a dead hard drive. AddressBook shows the list of contacts but will not display info for the contact. Still works with Mail. Threw away the plist file. Any advice.
