My other post seems to have crapped out somehow, so i will ask again.

Is it possible to port this tool to OS X. It is part of the bluez bluetooth drivers for linux.

I would like to be able to change a logitech bluetooth dongle from HID mode to HCI.

Presumably OS X can do this as the bluetooth firmware apple released enabled this on the DLINK dongle.

I have read the code for hid2hci, but I dont know C very well/ at all, and have no knowledge of the IOKit on OS X, so im unable to do it for myself

Please can someone help me

*bump*

So no one knows how, or if this can be done?

Is there a better place to ask this question?

I would be surprised if it couldn't be done, but "porting" will require rejigging the code to talk to IOKit, as you suspected.
