I ordered the Tiger up to date for 9.95, and I was wondering, will the version they send me be the same as the version everyone else gets? I mean, would it be a regular Tiger install disc that I can use on any machine, or is there gonna be something special about it?

I would imagine they will be "Upgrade" discs, i.e. you must have a previous version of OS X installed to use them. So, if for some reason you need to wipe your drive and reinstall OS X, you would first need to install Panther (or Jaguar, or whichever other version of OS X came with your system or you had purchased) then upgrade (or Archive and Install, or even Erase and Install) to Tiger.
*In the past there were ways to make "Upgrade" discs into full "Install" discs by removing the file(s) that check for previous installations. The same may hold true with the Tiger upgrade discs.

Well I have OS 10.0,.1,.2 and .3, so that would not be an issue. I was mostly concerned because I got it b/c I just ordered a new Powerbook G4, and I wanted to be able to put Tiger on it, and on my desktop computer as well.

of course, ordering an "up-to-date" disk from apple for youyr powerbook does *not* give you a license to install it on your desktop.

Indeed. You should buy another license or the Family Pack...
