My PowerBook has 10.3's FileVault activated.
Any advice before I install Tiger on it?
Deactivate FileVault and let it de-encrypt everything first, or just do an upgrade install? If I do an archive & install, will it have problems reading through the FileVault dynamic (sparse) disk image?

It is logical to assume that decrypting would be far safer.

I would opt for turning FileVault off before doing an upgrade install... "It's the only way to be sure." - Aliens
