After install of Tiger my home networking had no problems, expect for drop in Airport reception to my PowerBook, but my really problem is my work network.
I can acess other computers on the network but I can't acess the iTunes Musics store, Software Update, and the internet through Safari.
I can acess the net through FireFox though.
What seems to be missing is the little login window for all these things doesn't drop down like it did in Panther??? But it does drop down in FireFox. I can't figure out how to make it come back. I have tried adjusting proxies and all that and setting up new connections but I won't come.
Any Suggestions?
p.s. It is a PC Network (windows 2000 server).

The connection on my 15" PB was funny too for just a short while though. I rebooted once or twice and now this Tiger purrrrrs. I did have to disconnect my wife's 12" PB from the wireless network the reconnect. Everything went smooth there too. Been running smooth for the past 12 hours on all three of my Macs.

I was having strange networking problems last night after installing Tiger too. . Last night everything woudln't work yahoo messenger, safari, iTunes music store nothing. My cable modem showed that it had a lock and everything was working. I found if I reset the router everything would work again but then a few minutes later everything would stop again on both the PC and Mac. I tried doing ethernet on my iBook, it did the samething as on the wireless part. I then thought hmm well maybe Tiger doesn't like my router or something. Connecting the cable modem directly to the PC worked just fine. Connecting the cable modem to my iBook did not. It got some weird looking numbers, nothing that my IP would give me. Usually its 66.168.x.x but these on the iBook where 77.66.x.x (and no my ISP doesn't need the computer MAC address just the modems).
Anyway this morning I connected the router to the cable modem, reset the cable modem, reset the router and it seems to be working now. I'll have to see if my connection drops out again later. It might have been something with my ISP, they aren't the greatest in the world.

I just don't understand why I can connect to network volumes and get out of my firewall with FireFox but none of these other apps will do it. I tried with Sarfari 1.3 again to see if it was just 2.0 giving me problems, but it doesn't work now either.
