OK, so I did all fo the right things...I repaired permissions on the disk, verified the volume, then performed the "Upgrade" from 10.3.9 to 10.4...tadaaa....everything was working great, until I opened Printer Setup. Printer Setup window started hanging and I started getting the spinning pinwheel.

Anyway, long story short, I had to delete all of the printers and then re-add my Apple Laswerwriter 16/600ps, which is connected via ethernet cable directly to the machine. Things started working smoothly again....although I didn't try to print at that time Then this morning, I noticed that I couldn't print or create a PDF! The window just acts as if I never hit the print button... Ouch! Any thoughts?

I had major printing problems until I removed USB overdrive, if you have that installed give it a shot, if not perhaps a clean install would help you.

Unfortunatly I don't have that device, so I am still stuck....any other suggestions on how to solve the problem? I don't think a fresh install is a truly viable option at this point though...

I have since heard that I am not the only person with this problem. A person with brand new powerbook running v10.3.8 and performed the "upgrade" has the same problem....whew...it's not just me....
