The fundamental way OS X handles kernel extensions has been changed in Tiger so as to be more robust and future proof - the downside being that it has once again broken current devices.

E.g. the Speedtouch 330 usb modem is incompatible with Tiger.

I know you have heard this often enough, Krypton, but USB DSL modems are truly for the birds. USB is for local peripherals, not networking.

I don't think that's really a valid excuse. I do appreciate that USB modems are more susceptible to breaking, but was just wanting to forewarn people.
