I called MOTU and asked them if they were updating drivers for DP 4.1 to support Tiger. Having recently spent hundreds of dollars on DP 4.1, the last thing I want to do is drop another $150.00 on an upgrade to DP 4.5, in order to drop another $125.00 on Tiger upgrade. They claim there is no word of updated drivers to support 4.1, but I can upgrade to 4.5. No word and nothing in the works. This is getting ridiculous. Am i going to have to remain in the dark ages with old OS because of one freaking application? I know, this is the nature of computing and I should just suck it up, but this is frustrating. It's the most important thing I do with my Mac and I'm interested in using this application with the new OS.

You might want to wait a little while anyway - some crashing problems with DP 4.5.2 and Tiger are trickling in on the OSXAudio.com forums...

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a third alternative in your case, except maybe changing the software you use. I'm not into music software, so I would ask in the media forum or application forum what other alternatives (with better OS support) you might have.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
