mac noobie- instaling tiger

	is it easy to just back up all the files i want onto my ipod, say my programs like creative suite, studio mx etc and my school work and then just reload them into tiger? will all my programs still work on the new os? this is a dumb questions but tiger omes with all the programs doesnt it? like the standard apps? ilife etc?
