preview.app window zoom behavior in tiger (panther's was better..)

	back in panther i could magnify/zoom my pdf to the desired level to make it readable and then zoom the window. the window would automatically resize to try to fit the entire area. now in tiger it just strangely alternates between two windows sizes regardless of the magnification. these sizes often clip most of the pdf file (esp. on high magnifications). anyone know of a fix other than manually resizing the window?
