Can't connect to mac.com Sync server

On the first run with .mac sync i set the sync pane to sync all items and also set it to sync once a day

Once I got them set a few of them unchecked and my setting reverted to only Bookmarks, contacts and Calendars.

Now whenever i go to the server tab it trys to connect to the sync server, but i get the error:
UNABLE TO LOGIN TO THE .MAC SYNC SERVER - ...failed to refresh account info

The strange thing is that Address Book, iCal and Safari WILL sync their items.

Anyone else having this issue.
