Sorry for the mis-post. Still navigating my way around here.
As for the Apple III, you'd better go back and check your historical facts. My brother Tom and I
picked one up for about $5K in the summer of '80. We owned a company in Los Angeles called Symation Electronics, Inc.
It was a bad choice because it was way too underpowered and we replaced it with an Apple III+ in '83, I believe. That was also pretty much a bust and was replaced with two Apple II-Cs in '84, I believe. I've probably owned another 20 or 30 Macs since.

The address book data is in ~/Library/Application Support/Address Book/. Copy the whole "Address Book" folder from Application Support on the old Mac to the same location on the new one. Do the same with the com.apple.AddressBook.plist file in ~/Library/Preferences/.
Mac user since 1980? Impressive! (Especially since that means you got one several years before it was invented!

P.S. Please carefully read the forum descriptions on the main forums page. The PowerBook forum is for PowerBook-specific topics, not a general forum for PowerBook owners. I moved this topic to the correct place.
