A fix? What makes you think that there is a problem with OS X?

What makes you think that this was Apple's problem to fix? Was this a problem in the first place, or just Microsoft's refusal to open up a proprietary protocol, or accept incoming connections to their IMAP/Exchange servers?
What is httpmail? Are you referring to web-based email in a generic sense?
Are you stuck on your hotmail account? Ever thought about switching to something else?

The httpmail plug-in for mail.app has not been updated yet to work with Tiger. Supposedly the developer is working on a fix. I'll refrain from questioning your reasoning, and not giving you you any constructive advice......

toneloco28 love you. finally someone knows what i'm talking about and gives me useful info.
i didnt tiger had a bug or that i expected a fix from apple.
there is a plug in, and it doesnt work for 10.4
i was wondering when there would be a update for the plugin, or if there is another option.
fyi, the plugin allows you to read/receive/send hotmail emails from mail.app
mail.app doesnt have that built in, so i only get my sbc email, but not mail from my hotmail box.
again, thanks toneloco28

While indeed most people weren't being helpful, you didn't ask the question very well. You stated an vague desire and then asked if apple would fix it, implying that something broken.
You could have saved yourself all that grief just by being a little more specific when you initially asked the question

i never asked in apple would fix it. i just wondered if there's a fix for tiger. the title of the thread says hotmail/httpmail thing. and if there's one working for tiger. blah .. maybe i was vague, but i never implied apple made a mistake or anything...
