I have taken over a g5 from a coworker who quit. I would like to rename the machine. how do i remove her name? This will make things easier for me on the network since I have to save and pass files between several machines. Thanks.

Go to System Preferences (the lightswitch thing in the Dock, or under the Apple menu), and click on Accounts. Create a new user (you may have to authenticate with her password, which hopefully she gave you!). Make that new user an administrator.

Then logout, and log back in as yourself.
