Short version:
Is there a way I can turn Bluetooth on/off with just the keyboard?


Long Version:
I have my preferences set up to ignore the trackpad when an external mouse is present. I prefer this setting except for when I pick up my PowerBook and walk into another room while leaving my Bluetooth mouse behind. I don't know of any way to get the trackpad active other then to walk back and get the mouse.

I haven't used tiger yet so I don't know if this is possible, but you could write an automator action that could be assigned to a key combo that could do this.

Or maybe even an applescript if you are on pre-tiger.

I also thought of using Automator. This was my first time using Automator and it appears it only works with predefined actions that apps explicitely export. There were no System Preferences actions available. I didn't see a way to do what I want, but admittedly, I only spent a few minutes with it.

If I have to I guess I'll learn AppleScript but I was hoping to avoid that. I figured I can't be the only person who has wanted to do this.
