On both my G5 and my iBook, first launch of Sherlock in Tiger (after an archive & install) accesses the internet and basically kills all the channels - the icons in the toolbar go from icon+text to just icon one by one. When the process finishes, clicking any channel button yields a "Loading (null)..." message followed by a blank screen.

I tried the obvious trashing prefs, rebuilding permissions, etc. to no avail. Any suggestions (other than wait for new Dashboard widgets)?

Trashing of any and all Sherlock related prefs & caches doesn't do it, unfortunately.

After trashing all the prefs & caches, launching Sherlock loads the channels from the net, but they're just channel icons with no titles under them. Same result: when I click on a Channel's button it says "Loading (null)..." in the main window and then "Sherlock - (null)..." in the title bar after the load process finishes.

Any other ideas? There's a short thread at Apple Support Discussions about it, but no effective solution yet.

Not a life threatening situation, but I'd like to figure out what's wrong.

Exactly same symptoms here... Its been a couple of months that I decided to upgrade (erase and install) to Tiger and I just tried to use Sherlock. No channel works, get the icon titles in french (but after a while icon titles are gone!)
Any update would be greatly appreciated!

I just installed Tiger and updated to 10.4.7.

I have the same problem :-
1. all Sherlock channels were empty;
2. Sherlock then downloaded the channels; BUT
3. Each onejust returned (null).

Basically - they just don't work.
Exactly the same problem as Andre experienced.
I trashed all the prefs and cahe files - didn't fix it.

There are quite a few users with this problem ...

Has anyone found a fix ?
