Safari now opens all my PDFs inline and I can't figure out how to save them. Many of them are within frames so I can't just save the whole page. I can have it open in Preview with the contextual menu and save it from there, but I have to think their is an easier way.

Also, why the heck can't you zoom in?

You could just option click the link and it will download it. If it's in a frame, then open the frame.

But yes, when you right-click it should definitely have the option to "save to disk" or something along those lines.

As for zooming in, you can do that from the contextual menu.

Download Linked File.

And you can zoom in. In the contextual menu, click the item called "Zoom In."

For the PDFs in a frame perhaps Safari's Activity window would have the pdf listed, allowing you to Option-double-click it to download.

You can zoom in using right click or ctrl click.
Do you mean you want to save web pages as a pdf document, or you want to save a pdf to the desktop / folder that Safari has opened?
File -> Save As should save a pdf opened by Safari as a pdf to the desktop

This link for instance:
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/c...89403/PDFSTART

I can't open the frame containing the PDF and I can't save the PDF. I have to open it in Preview to save it. I'm not sure why I can't open the frame in a new window, but it isn't an option for the PDF (the graphics above the PDF work fine).

Thanks, that works. But I might as well open it in Preview and save it from there. Silly Apple, this should be a no-brainer. Most people want the PDFs; make it simple.

In most cases, option-clicking or even choosing Save will work. It's only in goofy embedded-frames setups like that where the problem occurs, so I'm not really surprised they didn't notice it before. But yeah, they ought to get it fixed.

Then all you have to do is figure out what abstract shape means save It is a good plug-in though. What about the plug-in that came with Acrobat Reader 7? Does that work in Safari 2?
