I have a G4 Quicksilver. I've clean installed Tiger on an erased 160GB drive. The machine also has a 60GB second hard drive with OS9 and a CD drive.

I have 2 accounts created; main administrator account and a second standard user account. I've enable fast user switching.

When I start up, my second hard drive and the CD are mounted properly. When I switch to the standard user account, then switch back to the administrators account, my second hard drive and the CD have disappeared and are no longer mounted on the desktop. I can go into Disk Utility where they are dimmed; highlight them and re-mount them fine.

What's up with this behavior. Never happened under Panther. Anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Gregg
