This afternoon I restarted my iMac G5. Startup was VERY slow and then instead of showing the login screen with a list of users, it asks for a nname and password. Unfortunately it won't accept and of my accounts.

Any one know what I should do?

Thanks

Same thing is happening to me on an external drive and when I try to reset password using Install DVD, it says no users available. I rebooted selecting PB drive and looked at users folder on external appeared ok. Tried again and then ran Carbon Cloner (with Psuedo) to copy users folder still no luck!

Well, I did an Archive and Install, preserving users and all seems to be okay.

Weird.
